MBBS / BDS IN INDIA
NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) 2023 will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS / BDS Courses and other undergraduate medical courses in approved / recognized Medical / Dental & other Colleges / Institutes in India.
Section 14 of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019 provides for holding of a common and uniform National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to the undergraduate medical courses in all medical institutions including those governed under any other law. Thus, the admission to MBBS course in AIIMS, New Delhi, JIPMER and all AIIMS like Institutions will be made through NEET.
NEET UG Exam Pattern
NEET 2023 Exam mode: Offline – Pen and paper mode
NEET 2023 Exam Language: Candidates will get an option of writing NEET 2023 paper in 13 languages: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu and Punjabi
NEET 2023 Time Duration: 3 hours 20 minutes or 200 minutes.
Type of Questions: Objective type questions (MCQ’s)
Number of questions in NEET 2023: 200 (20 Optional – 5 from Each Subject)
NEET 2023 Total Marks: 720 marks
NEET 2023 Marking Scheme: Each correct answer will fetch 4 marks. 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate must be of 17 years of age at the time of MBBS admission in India.
- The candidate must not exceed the age of 25 years.
- The medical candidate needs to score 50% marks in 12th grade for general category students. Reserved category candidates must achieve a minimum of 40%.
- For AIIMS, the percentage is 60% and 45% for SC/ST and OBC.
- Primary subjects in 12th grade should be Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- NEET is mandatory.
- Other entrance exams which a medical candidate can appear for- JIPMER or AIIMS entrance tests, Kerala CEE, Karnataka CET, etc.

MBBS ABROAD
